Report of Lamp lighting Ceremony

ManibaBhula Nursing College organized Lamp Lighting & Oath taking ceremony for the 15th Batch B.Sc. Nursing & 13th Batch GNM students on 31-03-2023, 9.00 am at PushpamTarsadi Hall, Maliba Campus, Bardoli with the guidance of Dr.RaniShetty Director of MBNC and Ms.HiralPanchal I/C Vice Principal of MBNC. The lamp lighting ceremony formally declares the student's entry into the nursing profession in remembrance of Florence Nightingale who is known as the founder of modern nursing.

The ceremony started with the UTU anthem. Mr.SurendraTrivedi, Nursing Superintendent, SMIMER Hospital and Medical college was the chief guest of the function. Dr.Amrut Patel, Ex Medical superintendent of Sub District Hospital, Bardoli and ShriKirit Patel Vice president of UTU graced this occasion as guest of honor. Dr.Dinesh Shah, Provost of UTU was the president of this function; The dignitaries inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and invoked the divine blessing. Dr.RaniShetty Director and principal of MBNC along with Ms.HiralPanchal I/C Vice Principal of MBNC and other faculties lighted the Florence Nightingale lamp & transferred the light of knowledge to the students. 57 B.Sc. Nursing students & 40 GNM students dedicated themselves to the nursing profession by lighting their lamps followed by the administration of Nightingale pledge.

Mr.SurendraTrivediand Dr Amrut Patel delivered their valuable insights to the students with their inspiring speech. Hon Provost of UTU, Dr.D.R Shah congratulated the students in his presidential address and wishes them all success in their future endeavour. The function ended with the national anthem.

REPORT ON CONTINUING NURSING EDUCATION

ManibaBhula Nursing College, UkaTarsadia University organised Continuing Nursing Education on “Assertive Communication” on 12th January 2023 at SRIMAD hall from 12.00 pm to 3.30 pm with active participation of 310 delegates. Mr. PiyushVyas, Business couch and Guinness World Record Holder was the speaker of CNE. Dr. Rani Shetty, Director, MBNC was the Organizing Chairperson and Ms. JemyDhimar, Lecturer, MBNC was the Organizing Secretary. The CNE was started with UTU anthem, welcome of speaker and delegates. The CNE included total 2 sessions. First session was on communication. Mr. PiyushVyas had explained about 7 C’s of communication. Considerate, compressed, courteous, concrete, complete, correct and clear. Second session was on public speaking. For that, sir selected random delegates and they performed activity. Demonstrated criteria for public speaking like body language, posture, gesture, tone, tempo, rhythm, etc. The program concluded with certificate of appreciation by Dr. Rani Shetty, Director, MBNC, Vote of thanks by Ms. NilamRathod, lecturer, MBNC and National anthem.

Report of State level conference on "Emerging Issues and Challenges in Pediatrics"

ManibaBhula Nursing College organized a State level conference on “EMERGING ISSUES AND CHALLENGES IN PEDIATRICS” on 05/01/2023 with an active participation of around 434` delegates and 4 expert resource persons across the state. GNC has allotted 4 Credit points for state level conference. Mr. I.A. Kadiwala, Vice President, GNC, Ahmedabad and Ms. SonalPandya, Lecturer, Government College of Nursing, Majura Gate, Surat were GNC observer for the conference. Dr. Rani Shetty Principal was the Organizing Chairperson and Ms. SejalRabari, Lecturer, MBNC and Mrs. Shivani Dafda, Lecturer, MBNC, was the Organizing Secretary. Registration for conference was started by 8.30am to 9.30am. The function commenced at 9.30am with the UTU Anthem and welcome of dignitaries and delegates. Inaugural function began with the lamp lighting by dignitaries. The function was hosted by Ms. Khusbu Bhavsar and Ms. Varsha M. Theme was unfolded by Ms. SejalRabari, Lecturer, Community Health Nursing Dept., MBNC with welcome address. The opening session was delt by Ms, Binal Joshi, Assistant Professor,PhD Scholar,ManikakaTopawala college of Nursing, CHARUSAT, chaired byMs. RinalBarad, Lecturer, Paediatric Department, MBNC. The second session was taken by Dr. Parag Suresh Shah, Professor and HOD Of Psychiatry, SMIMER, Surat, chaired by Ms. Dhaniya George, Lecturer, Community Health Nursing Department, MBNC. The third session was delivered by Ms. Lavanyapatel, Clinical Psychologist,Director of Ananya Life Skills center, Vapi and chaired by Ms. BhavishaChampaneri, Lecturer, OBG Department, MBNC. The fourth session was delivered by Mr.Rajesh P Joseph,Professor,Department of pediatric Nursing,Sumandeep Nursing College, Vadodara and chaired by Ms. Purvi Patel, Nursing Tutor, Community Health Nursing Department, MBNC. Total of 4 research paper was presented in the scientific paper presentation which was judged by Mr. Rajesh P Joseph and Dr. Rani Shetty. The conference ended up by concluding notes, feedback from delegates, report presentation and vote of thanks by Mrs. Shivani Dafda. Principal and Faculty are highly indebted to all those who contributed towards the success of the State level conference. All the sessions were informative and helped to enlighten the knowledge of delegates. The delegates have expressed their positive feedback about the conference. The program concluded with certificate distribution and National Anthem.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION AND FAREWELL FUCTION @MBNC - "Cheerio Feast"

Annual Day Celebration and Farewell of 5th Batch of M.Sc (N),11th Batch B.Sc (N), 9th Batch P.B.B.Sc (N) & 10thbatch of GNM students were held on 26th November, 2022 from 9:00 am to 4 pm at PushpamTarsadia Hall, UTU under the guidance of Dr. Rani Shetty, Principal and Director of MBNC. Dr. D. R. Shah, Provost, UTU and Dr. Chinmay Desai, registrar, UTU were Chief Guest of the function. Whereas, Shri. Kiritbhai Patel, Vice President UTU and ShriArvindbhaiPatel, Vice President of BPKM was the Guest of Honor during the function. The function was started with UTU anthem.Inaugural function began with the lamp lighting by dignitaries. Mr. Smith Khristy, lecturer and SNA Advisor of MBNC   presented SNA report and Mr. AshishChaudhari, Lecturer and NSS co-coordinator has presented NSS report of academic year 2021-22. Farewell to 5th batch of M.Sc (N),11th Batch B.Sc (N), 9th Batch P.B.B.Sc (N) &10th batch of GNM students was given and they were presented with college pin by Dr.RaniShetty, Principal, MBNC. Certificates were given to those who secured 1st and 2nd in M.Sc (N),B.sc (N),P.B.B.Sc (N),GNM and also certificates of SNA activities of year 2021-22 were distributed. Dr. Rani Shetty, Principal and Director of MBNC congratulated the winners and motivated the students with their inspirational words. The function was proceeded with farewell function.

Afternoon function proceeded with farewell function “Cheerio Feast” organized by 2nd Year M.Sc. students and they have organized various games for outgoing batch. The students participated in different events like dance performances, singing performance, drama and musical performance. The function concluded with National Anthem.

DIWALI CELEBRATION

Diwali celebration was organized by SNA unit of ManibaBhula Nursing College, UkaTarsadia University on 19th  October 2022 under the guidance of Dr. Rani Shetty principal and director of MBNC. On this special occasion Toran making,Kandil making, Diwali Sweets and Hair style making competitions were organized. Total 7 groups have participated in Toran andKandil making competition, 4 groups in Diwali Sweets. Whereas, 8 students have participated in hair style making competition. Ms.DivyaGadariya(UTU) and Ms. NilamRathod (MBNC, UTU) were the judge of kandiland Diwali sweet making competition. Toran making and Hair style  making competition were judged by Ms. KhushbuBhavsar (MBNC, UTU) and Ms. Rujuta Patel  (MBNC, UTU).

CNE REPORT ON QUALITY ASSURANCEORGANISED BY MANIBA BHULA NURSING COLLEGE

Maniba Bhula Nursing College, Uka Tarsadia University organised Continuing Nursing Education on Quality Assuranceand Campus placement on 2ndSeptember 2022 at JD hallin association with H N Reliance hospital Mumbai. Ms.Cini Siju,Nursing Director,Ms.Elizabeth David,Director of Strategy and organizational Excellence, Mr.Rupesh Khandelwal, Seniour manager HR, H N Reliance Hospital, Mumbai were the speakers for the session. The CNE program was organized under the guidance of Dr.Rani Shetty, Dean & Director MBNC and coordinated by Ms. Dhanya George, Ms Ridhdhi Patel and Ms Sejal Rabari. The CNE program begins with UTU anthem, Quality Indicators, Accreditation process, Nursing Audit were the topics for the sessions the program concluded with vote of thanks and National anthem. Campus placement was conducted for final year students of M.Sc, B.sc and P.B.B.Sc students.

CNE REPORT ON TOTAL PARENTERAL NUTRITION AND CATHETER CARE MANAGEMENT ORGANISED BY MANIBA BHULA NURSING COLLEGE

Maniba Bhula Nursing College, Uka Tarsadia University organised Continuing Nursing Education on Total Parenteral Nutrition and Catheter Care Management on 26 th August 2022 at JD hall from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm by Mr Prakash vyas (B pharma pharmacovigilance) who worked with Pfizer, IPCA and Glenmark as a Zonal training executive. The CNE program was coordinated by faculties of the Medical- Surgical Nursing Department, Dr Manjunath Beth, Ms Ridhdhi, Ms Hemaxi, Mr Ashish, Ms Khushbu and final year MSN students. The all-courses of Nursing students and faculties from MBNC gathered at JD hall around 1 pm, the CNE program started according to schedule at around 1.30 pm with the UTU anthem, welcoming the guest speaker, CNE on TPN and catheter care management, memento for speaker, vote of thanks and completed with the National anthem.

Report on World Breast Feeding Week- 22

Department of Child Health Nursing & Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing of Maniba Bhula Nursing College organized Public awareness campaign, Health education and Quiz competition on World Breast Feeding Week on 5th & 6th August 2022 at Sardar Smarak Hospital Bardoli and SRIMAD Hall,UTU. World Breastfeeding Week is an annual celebration which is held every year from 1 to 7 August in more than 120 countries worldwide to promote breast feeding ,the theme for this year was: Step up for Breast feeding: Educate and Support.

Maniba Bhula Nursing College organized a State level conference on "NEW TRENDS OF MIDWIFERY" on 30/07/2022 with active participation of around 467 delegates and 4 expert resource persons across the state. GNC has allotted 4 Credit Hours for state level conference. Mr. I.A. Kadiwala, Vice President, GNC, Ahmedabad and Ms. Sonal Pandya, Lecturer, Government College of Nursing, Majura Gate, Surat were GNC observer for the conference. Dr.Rani Shetty Principal was the Organizing Chairperson and Ms.Khushbu Bhavsar, Lecturer, MBNC and Ms. Richa Gosvami, Lecturer, MBNC, was the Organizing Secretary. Inaugural function began with the lamp lighting by dignitaries. The function continued with the welcome address by Ms. Bhavisha Champaneri and Ms. Sneha Chaudhari. Theme was unfolded by Mrs. Bharti N. Sanadia, Principal (Cl-1) Goverment college of Nursing, Vaccine Campus, Diwalipura, Vadodra and Member of SOMI. The opening session was managed by Dr. Alsheshya Khant, DNB OBG and Senior consultant at Sardar smarak Hospital the Chair Person was Ms. Divya Chaudhari, Nursing Tutor, Paediatric Department, MBNC. The second session was given by Ms. Vinaya Kumary. T, Associate professor & HOD, Department of OBG Nursing, Parul Institute of Nursing, Parul University, Vadodara, the Chair Person was Ms. Jagruti Patel Nursing Tutor, paediatric Department, MBNC. The third first session was delivered by Dr. Neha Patel, MS OBG Laparoscopic surgeon at Shishudeep Multi-super specialty Hospital, Sickle cell treatment centre, Bardoli and the Chair Person was Ms. Ridhdhi Patel, Lecturer, Medical Surgical Department, MBNC. The fourth session was delivered by Mrs. Hiral Panchal, Incharge Vice Principal, MBNC and the Chair Person- Ms. Hemaxi Patel, Lecturer, Medical Surgical Department, MBNC. All the sessions were highly appreciated by participants. Total of 8 research paper was presented for scientific paper presentation. Report on International Nurses Day Celebration

Maniba Bhula Nursing College has organized International Nurses Day Celebration on 12 th May, 2022. Program was started at 9:30am and end at 12:30pm.The program was organized under constant guidance and support of Ms. Rani Shetty, Principle of Maniba Bhula Nursing College, Bardoli. Ms. Rani Shetty, Principle of Maniba Bhula Nursing College, Mr. Gibin Thomas, H.O.D. of Child Health Nursing and Ms. Ankita Kher, Lecturer of Maniba bhula Nursing college were the overall programme co-ordinators. Dr. Dushyant Patel, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Shalby Hospital was the chief guest and Ms. Jeena Jacob, Nursing Director of Nirmal Hospital was the guest of honor of this programme. Total 400 participant were present in this programme.

The theme of International Nurses Day, 2022 was "A VOICE TO LEAD- INVEST IN NURSING AND RESPECT RIGHTS TO SECURE GLOBAL HEALTH"
