Women cell and committee against sexual harassment of UTU in collaboration with 2nd year M.Sc Nursing students of MBNC conducted a workshop on “Basic Life Support” for administrative staff of UTU on 29th November 2021 at 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm in Shrimad hall, under the guidance of Dr.RaniShetty.
Registration was started at 2:00 pm. The function started with UTU anthem. As a tradition of MBNC Resource persons, were given a warm welcome with bouquet of flowers.

The workshop was appreciated by the participants.
At last the post test was conducted in which only 3 participants scored less than50%. Majority of the candidates (17) scored between 75-100%. Rest of the candidates (13) scored between 50-75%.
At the end of the session our speaker Mr.Manjunath Beth was felicitated with certificate by Dr. Rani Shetty. And vote of thanks was given by 2nd year M.sc nursing student Ms.Dharati Patel. The Session ended with national anthem.
Christmas Day celebration was organized by SNA unit of ManibaBhula Nursing College, UkaTarsadia University on 24th December 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Rani Shetty principal and director of MBNC. Students of MBNC have decorated Christmas tree beautifully with glitters stars and lights. A student dressed as Santa Claus paraded through the assembly cheering and singing songs of Christmas, handing out small gifts and handshakes wishing them "Happy Christmas". One could easily notice the excitement of Christmas in the students' eyes. Students and faculties were eagerly waiting for the Christmas gift exchange. All the students and faculties had brought Christmas gifts for their friends. This ceremony of choosing a Christmas friend and exchanging gifts is promoted in order to inculcate the mentality of sharing among the students. On this special occasion SNA unit of MBNC has organized various competitions like Nail Art, Face Painting, Mehndi and Salad dressing competition to explore the students talent.14 groups of students and 5 groups of faculties have shown their artistry in salad dressing competition and competition was evaluated by Dr. Rozy Patel (Center of Humanities, UTU) and Mr. Gibin Thomas (MBNC, UTU).23 students and 3 faculties also have participated in Mehndi competition and it was judged by Ms.MubashshirahbanuShekh (SRIMCA, UTU) and Mrs. SejalRabari (MBC, UTU). 5 students and 3 faculties have shown their excellent talent in Nail art competition whereas 3 students have participated in Face Painting competition and competition was judged by Dr. DivyaGadaria (SRIMCA, UTU) and Ms. RinalBarad (MBNC, UTU).The result of the competition is..

Maniba Bhula Nursing College celebrated World AIDS Day on 1st December 2021 at 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The World AIDS Day was organized under constant guidance and support of Dr. Rani Shetty Director of Maniba Bhula Nursing College. The overall programme was coordinated by Ms Parisha Chaudhari ,Ms Purvi Patel, Ms. Dhanya George, Ms. Sejal Suchal, Ms. Nilam Rathod, and Ms. Mayuri Rabari. Faculties of MBNC.
On this occasion, MBNC organized a poster making competition on the theme of "End inequalities, End AIDS" at MBNC, UTU and a mass awareness campaign organized at Sarbhon High School. A total of 12 students participated in the poster making competition, 30 students participated in the mass awareness campaign and total of 170 students from Sarbhon high school were benefited.
The aim of the programme was to create awareness about the HIV & AIDS, its transmission, sign and symptoms and treatment and prevention among all the students of MBNC and Sarbhon School.
In the poster making competition, posters were prepared by participant on the theme of "End inequalities, End AIDS" and displayed at MBNC which was judged by Ms. Riddhi patel and Ms. Shivani Mehta.
In a mass awareness campaign, the function started with welcoming of sarbhon school students and briefing about significance of world AIDS day by 3rd semester M.Sc (N) CHN specialty students. Then after all the students were called to attending exhibition on HIV & AIDS. The students have expressed their positive feedback about the mass awareness campaign.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and the declaration of the winner.

Annual Day Celebration and Farewell of 4th Batch of M.Sc (N),10th Batch B.Sc (N),8th Batch P.B.B.Sc (N) & 9thbatch of GNM students were held on 27th November, 2021 from 9:00 am to 4 pm at Pushpam Tarsadia Hall, UTU under the guidance of Dr. Rani Shetty, Principal and Director of MBNC. Dr. D. R. Shah, Provost, UTU and Dr. Chinmay Desai, registrar, UTU were Chief Guest of the function. Whereas, Shri. Kiritbhai Patel, Vice President UTU and Shri Arvindbhai Patel, Vice President of BPKM was the Guest of Honor during the function. The function was started with UTU anthem.Inaugural function began with the lamp lighting by dignitaries. Ms. Rinal Barad , lecturer and SNA Advisor of MBNC presented SNA report and Mr. Ashish Chaudhari, Lecturer and NSS co-coordinator has presented NSS report of academic year 2020-21. Faculties and students of MBNC were appreciated with certificate for covid-19 duty at B U Patel Covid Care isolation Center. Farewell to 4th batch of M.Sc (N),10th Batch B.Sc (N), 8th Batch P.B.B.Sc (N) &9th batch of GNM students was given and they were presented with college pin by Dr.Rani Shetty, Principal, MBNC. Certificates were given to those who secured 1st and 2nd in M.Sc (N),B.sc (N), P.B.B.Sc (N),GNM and also certificates of SNA activities of year 2020-21 were distributed. Chief Guest Dr. Chinmay Desai, registrar, UTU addressed themand encouraged student with his motivating words. ManibaBhula Nursing College of UkaTarsadia University has celebrated Teacher's Day on 6th September 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Rani Shetty principal and director of MBNC. On this special occasion essay writing and elocution competitions were organized. The theme for essay writing competition was to "Recover and Revitalize Education For The Covid-19 Generation". The theme for Elocution competition: "Teachers: Leading In Crisis, Reimagining The Future". Total 15 students have participated for essay writing competition and 8 students have participated in elocution competition. ManibaBhula Nursing College organized a one-day workshop on "Pressure Injury Prevention" on 19th November 2021 at 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Total 150 number of participants attended this workshop. The workshop was organized under constant guidance and support of Dr. Rani Shetty Director of ManibaBhula Nursing College. The overall programme was coordinated by Ms Rujuta Patel and Ms Atufa Pindhariya faculty of MBNC. The whole sessions were held in the Shrimad Hall UTU.
The aim of the workshop was to expand the knowledge on the latest pressure injury guidelines and treatments to prevent pressure injuries, among all the passing out student of MBNC.
The function started with UTU song. As a tradition of MBNC Resource person were given a warm welcome to eminent speaker Mr. John Choudhary, were felicitated, to express respect & gratitude towards him for devoting his valuable time & support for the workshop. Pre -test was done before the session started.
Mr. John Choudharybegan with aetiology of pressure injury in the first module. The second module was on staging of pressure injuries. In the third session he elaborated module on risk assessment using different Scales. And in last module he taught regarding prevention and management of pressure injury. The faculty and student actively participated in educational games like quiz competition played with mobile.
Expert elaborated all the modules of Pressure Injury Prevention. All the sessions were informative and helped to enlighten the knowledge of delegates. The delegates have expressed their positive feedback about the workshop. At the end of program were disturbed and declaration of the quiz competition.the program was ended withnational anthem.

The CNE was organized under the constant guidance and support of Dr. Rani Shetty Director of ManibaBhula Nursing College. The overall programme was arranged by programme co-ordinator MsJagruti Patel lecturer of MBNC. The whole sessions were held in the Shrimad Hall UTU.
The Aim of the CNE was to expand the knowledge on the risk assessment of patient, patient safety, Medication Safety, Prevention of Hospital acquired infections, Quality indicators and NABH accreditation process, among all the passing out student of MBNC.

As a tradition of MBNC, resource persons were given a warm welcome to eminent speaker Ms. Anita David Nursing superintendent, Ms.Aradhya Shetty Nursing Educator and Ms.VandanaSheladiya Infection Control Nurse of Kiran Hospital Surat, were felicitated, to Express Respect & Gratitude towards them for devoting their valuable time & support for the CNE.

The event is organized in relation with World Breast Feeding Week. A total number of 412 participants attended the session. On this occasion Women Cell and Committee against Sexual Harassment of UTU has organized a seminar on the theme of "Choose to Challenge" at Pushpam Tarsadiya Hall Uka Tarsadia University on 8th March 2021 at 1:00 PM to 4:30Pm. This seminar involved the various challenges faced by women in the present society and measures to tackle such issues. The expert of session were Dr. Hema Shah ,Dr. Arti Mehta and Dr. Deepa Patel. Total 60 female faculties were actively participated in this seminar. On this special occasion SNA of MBNC has also organized a Rangoli competition and poster competition. Total 09 groups participated in Rangoli competition and 18 students participated in poster competition on the occasion of women's day celebration. The program was coordinated by all members of the Women cell, committee against sexual harassment and SNA. The program concluded with the evaluator session and declaration of the winner by the guest.
A Webinar was organized by MBNC on 12th May 2021 on international nurse's day. International Nurses Day is an international day observed around the world on 12 May of each year, to mark the contributions that nurses make to society. The theme for 2021 was "Nurses: A Voice to Lead - a Vision for Future Healthcare" The webinar streamed Live on 12th may 2021 on YouTube.

On the occasion of International Nurses Day celebration, MBNC and SNA of MBNC has organized online webinar and E poster competition on "Nurses : A voice to lead A vision for future health care". Session expert of the webinar were Dr. Rani Shetty (dean and director of MBNC), Ms. Meenakshi Gijre ( Director of Chikus Educare LLP, Pune), Dr. Unmona B (Director of Nursing AINE, Guwahati), Ms. Clare D' Mello (Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Saifee hospital Mumbai), Mr. Gibin Thomas ( Assistant Professor, Ph.D. Scholar MBNC, UTU). Student of MBNC took active participation in E- Poster Competition. In e- poster competition first position was secured by Disha Prajapati from second year B.Sc. Nursing, and second position was secured by Vyanjana Patel from 3rd year B.Sc Nursing.
Maniba Bhula Nursing College of Uka Tarsadia University organized Lamp Lighting & Oath taking ceremony for the 13th Batch B.Sc. Nursing & 11th Batch GNM students on 26-2- 2021, 10.00 am at Pushpam Tarsadi Hall, Maliba Campus, Bardoli with the guidance of Dr.Rani Shetty Director of MBNC. The tradition of lamp lighting ceremony serves as an icon and inspiration in nursing profession from Florence Nightingale who is known as the founder of modern nursing. The lamp lighting ceremony formally declares the student's entry into the nursing profession.
The ceremony started with the UTU anthem. Dr.MC Deselva MD,CEO Mahavir hospital Surat and Dr. Anil Kumar vice president Metas Adventist hospital Surat were the chief guest of the function. Shri Arvind Bhai Patel deputy President BPKM and Shri Kirit bhai Patel vice president of UTU graced this occasion as guest of honor, Hon Provost of UTU Dr. Dinesh Shah, Provost was the president of this function , Mr.Gibin Thomas, HOD pediatric nursing MBNC welcomed the guests. The august dignitaries inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and invoked the divine blessing. Dr.Rani Shetty Director and principal of MBNC along with other faculties lighted the Florence Nightingale lamp & transferred the luminosity to the fresher?s students. 50 B.Sc. Nursing students & 40 GNM students respectively dedicated themselves to the nursing profession by lighting their lamps followed by the administration of Nightingale pledge to the students.
Dr. MC Dselva and Dr Anil Kumar delivered their valuable insights about the noble profession with their speech and inspired the students. Hon Provost of UTU, Dr. D R Shah congratulated the students in his presidential address and wishes them all success in their future endeavors. The ceremony concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Sejal Suchal Lecturer, community health nursing department. The function ended with the national anthem.
World AIDS day which is celebrated on 1st of December every year, it is an attempt to create mass awareness among the people all over the world. With an advancement in technology and society, where accessing the information and getting education is easy, perception of people are changing but awareness is comparatively less in rural areas.
Department of Community Health Nursing of Maniba Bhula Nursing College organized theme based poster competition on 1 Dec, account of WORLD AIDS DAY- 2020 on the theme "Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Resilience and Impact." It was under the guidance of Dr. Rani Shetty Principal, MBNC and Coordinated by Ms. Parisha chaudhari Ms. Sejal suchal, Ms. Suchismita Ms. Dhanya George and Ms. Purvi patel. Students of MBNC prepared posters in connection with World Breastfeeding Week which is observed from 1 to 7 Aug every year and this year's theme is "SUPPORT BREASTFEEDING FOR A HEALTHIER PLANET" Breastfeeding is the cornerstone of infant and young child survival,nutrition and development and it is more significant during the midst of COVID -19 pandemic.WHO recommends that mothers with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 should be encouraged to initiate or continue to breastfeed with proper precautions.
This webinar focused upon the care and concerns of children during pandemic In addition to the risk of routine well child care not being maintained during the pandemic, the risk for COVID- 19 among chronically medically complex children is unclear but presumed to be higher than among children without medical complexity. Covid -19 collateral effects may comprise the most significant impacts on children, from limitations on hospital visitors, to closures of child-friendly hospital playrooms during this pandemic, to an alarming decrease in vaccination rates. Educational disparities will also likely widen, especially among those with limited access to technology at home.
