The theme of nurse?s day 2017 is Nurses: A Voice To Lead - Achieving The Sustainable Development GoalsThe function was started by formal welcoming of students & faculties by Mr. Gibin Thomas, Asst. Professor, MBNC. Theme of nurses day 2017 presented by Ms. HiralMistry 1st Year, M.Sc (N) student. She described about role of Nurses as a leading voice in the society for achieving the sustainable development goals for the betterment of health care setting and humanity. The Principal of MBNCMrs.Kavitha N conveyed hernurse's day greetings and importance of nurses day to the students and faculties. Followed by that Mr.SateeshBiradar Vice Principal of MBNC then congratulated the august gathering and shared his views about the importance of today's nurses in improving healthcare attributes.
ManibaBhulaNursing College has organized a National Conference on Innovative Nursing Approach towards Global Demand on 22/4/017 A total number of 610 participants have attended this Conference. The inaugural function started with UTU song followed by lamp lighting to seek the blessings of almighty. As a tradition of MBNC all the dignitaries were given a warm welcome & were felicitated to express respect & gratitude towards them for devoting their valuable time & support for the conference. Dr. D.R. Shah, Provost, UTU& Mr. I. A. Kadiwala, President of TNAI, Gujarat State, were addressed gathering and encouraged the delegates.The dignitaries those graced inauguration ceremony were Dr. D. R. Shah, Chief Patron & Provost, UTU,the principal of various Nursing institute. Mrs. Kavitha Narayanan, Dean, Maniba Bhula Nursing College, unveiled the theme & delivered the importance of ?Innovative Nursing approach towards global Demand.In the first session, Prof. David A. Kola begun with the different new approaches, how to apply in Nursing Research. The session was continued by Dr. Maya Patlia explore the knowledge on evidence base practiceand Evolving & Emerging Nursing Roles. In the third session Maj. Gen. T. K. Bhutia elaborated the changes occur in nursing education,there afterPoster & paper presentation session was initiated. The faculty & students from various institution were participated into Poster & Paper Presentation. Experts elaborated all domains of innovative Nursing approaches to meet the global need. All the sessions were informative and enlighten the knowledge of delegates.The delegates have expressed their positive feedback about the conference.Conference conclude by taking feedback from delegates followed by vote of thanks and national anthem.

MBNC celebrated World Health Day- on April 7 2017, with reference to the theme of world health day -2017 .The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of MBNC organized poster preparation competition and Expert Talk on the theme of WHD 2017- Depression Let's Talk.
Each year, the World Health Organization (WHO) selects a theme highlighting a particular priority area of public health. The theme for this year's global health awareness day is 'Depression: Let's Talk'. According to WHO, India has the highest suicide rate among 10 South-East Asian countries and depression is one of the leading causes for this. Globally, it is the biggest cause of ill health and disability. According to WHO, depression is "persistent sadness and a loss of interest in activities that people normally enjoy, accompanied by an inability to carry out daily activities for two weeks or more."
Dr. Parag Shah HOD Psychiatry Dept SMIMER Hospital delivered an expert talk about the topic Depression. The session was organized in the Shrimad Hall of UTU and the programme started at 2.pm. Dr. ParagShah delivered his valuable insights about the topic.
School health and mass health education programme organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing and Child Health Nursing, MBNC at Tarbhon Govt. school, Tarbhon village on 24/03/2017 at 9 am to 1 pm.
The Programme was inaugurated by the Principal Mrs. Kavitha N and Head master of tarbhon school. The Programmes was organized by Mr.Chanagiri Aursung HOD Community Health Nursing and Mrs Diva Chanu HOD Child Health Nursing, co-ordinated by Mr.Victomon P J and Mr Gibin Thomas of MBNC and school teachers of tarbhon village were witnessed the function.
A total no of 250 students were examined by second year B.Sc. nursing and first year M.Sc. Nursing students among that 25% students were suffering with communicable diseases and 40% children suffering with nutritional disorders and rest are found to be normal.

Sports Committee has been constituted by the Director of MBNC, to assist the organization in conducting various athletic events and for annual college competitions in sports and Games.
ManibaBhula Nursing College organized its Annual Sports events from 14th to 16th March 2017. On the events both individual and group events were conducted with maximum number of students participation.
To enhance sportsman spirit among the students, the entire students of MBNC were divided into four houses namely Orange, Blue. Green and Yellow Further the mentor faculties were appointed to each group to motivate student's participation.
Mr. Bharat Vaidya, Director SrimadRajchandra School of Sports and Mrs. Kavitha N, Principal, MBNC inaugurated the SNA Annual Sports Event Activities for the year 2017. Mr. Victomon P J and Mr.Anil S P,Sports Secretary. MBNC cheered and encouraged the students for their imitativeness and their interest in sports activities.
The Track events were 100 mts, 200 mts, 4x100 mts race and field events Shot Put, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Kabaddi, KhoKho ,Indoor game Carromand chess was also played by the students. Maximum students participated in all events with full of energy & enthusiasm.
On the last day of sports few events like Tug of War and cricket (male&female) for the staff of MBNC were conducted. Prizes and medals will be distributed at the Annual Day function of the college.

(N) & 14 GNM Internship students were appeared for first round of interview. The all 9 candidates from B.Sc. (N) & 7 candidates GNM Internship short listed from the first round.
The interview was conducted by Kiran Hospital ,Surat on 20th February 2017 for the post of staff nurse. Kiran Multi Specialty Hospital & research center is about to inaugurate in the month of April 2017. It is one of the largest multi Super Specialty Hospital located in Surat. It willstart with 352 beds in first phase. (Consisting approx. 155 beds of ICU, 11 bedded ER,) andcater to over 20 specialities. It is the first hospital having air ambulance servicesin India. Kiran Hospital has such advance technology for diagnosis & treatment of patient, and they are getting into Europe & US.

Nursing & GNM Internship students. There were 38 B.Sc. (N) & 9 GNM Internship students appeared for first round of interview. The 28 candidates from B.Sc. (N) & 7 candidates GNM Internship cleared the first round.
We the Medical Surgical Nursing department faculties and students of MBNC have celebrated World cancer day on 4th February, 2017 by organizing Poster exhibition, role play on the theme "WE CAN, I CAN" for 2016-2018 and by participating in cancer screening camp at Bharat cancer centre hospital. It is celebrated throughout the world on 4th February, to bring awareness among the people in the society and to provide them knowledge regarding the different types of cancer, its treatment and nutritional management.
Thefunction began at 10:00amby the welcoming the chief guest, Mr. Mahesh Chauhan (President), Mr. Nikunj Vikhlani, Mr. Ajmera (MD Physician), other trustees of Bharat cancer hospital, Matron, Bharat cancer hospital. Posterexhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Mahindra Chauhan katargamwala (President) trusty of Bharat cancer hospital. The 3rd year B.Sc, 4thB. Sc. internship & 1st Year M.Sc. Nursing (MSN DEPT.) students of MBNC participated in the celebration of cancer day along with the staff of the Bharat cancer hospital. Around 350 people came for the free cancer screening camp in which our students showed their active participation. Students participated very actively and have prepared the colourful posters which were on the topic of cancer. Students well directed the people, explained them in detail regarding different types of cancer, dietary management and other preventive aspects. Role play performed on theme, "WE CAN, I CAN" was very fruitful for all. Both activities were appreciated by all the faculties of Bharat cancer hospital. Programme was overall coordinated by Ms. Mamta J Patel, HOD, Dept of Medical Surgical Nursing and team. Cancer day celebration was concluded successfully at 3.30 pm.
Pulse Polio is an Immunization campaign established by the government of India to eliminate poliomyelitis (polio) in India by vaccinating all children under the age of five years against polio virus. The project fights poliomyelitis through a large-scale pulse immunization programme and monitoring for polio cases.

ManibaBhula Nursing College of UkaTarsadia University organized Lamp Lighting & Oath taking ceremony for the 9th Batch B.Sc. Nursing & 7th Batch GNM students on 31-12-2017, 10.00 am at PushpamTarsadi Hall, Maliba Campus, Bardoli. The tradition of lamp lighting ceremony serves as an icon and inspiration in nursing profession from Florence Nightingale who is known as the founder of modern nursing. The lamp lighting ceremony formally declares the student?s entry into the nursing profession.
The ceremony started with the UTU anthem. Mr. IqbalKdiwala, Vice president Gujarat nursing council and President of TNAI Gujarat state branch made his presence as Chief Guest in the function and Dr. Amrut Patel, Medical Superintendent, Satyagraha Hospital, Bardoil graced this occasion as guest of honor of this occasion, Hon Provost of UTU Dr. Dinesh Shah, Provost was the president of this event , Shri. Kiritbhai Patel, Secretary BPKM, Bardoli, graced the occasion as guest of honor.Mr. ChannagiriAursang HOD, Community Health Nursing Dept, MBNC welcomed the guests. We the Dean, faculties and students of MBNC have celebrated World AIDS Day-2016 on December 1st, 2016 by organizing AIDS awareness rally and Expert Talk on the theme ?Hands-Up for HIV Prevention? of AIDS day. The programme was started with AIDS awareness rally from BPKM Campus at Bardoli at 8.45 am.
The rally was inaugurated by Mrs. Kavita Narayanan, principal MBNC Bardoli and Dr. Amrut Patel, Medical Superintendent Cl-I Bardoli Satyagraha Hospital, Bardoli. The rally progressed towards railway station and covered the Gandhi Road and back to the college campus.
The expert talk was organized in the Manjula Hall of UTU and the programme started at 1.15 pm. The introduction of guest was done by Mr. Victomon PJ. Asst. Professor, MBNC Bardoli and theme presentation was done by Ms. Sejal Suchal and Dhanya Gibin M.Sc. (N) 1st year students. The guest lecture delivered by Dr. Amrut Patel on AIDS and its prevention. Department of Mental Health Nursing has organized mental health week from 10TH to 15TH October during psychiatric clinical postings at Hospital for Mental Health, Vadodara for increasing awareness in general public regarding mental disorders and promotion of positive mental health. Theme for this year?s mental health week was "psychological and mental health first aid".
The 2016 World Mental Health Day is close to many people's hearts because psychological and mental health first aid is a theme that every citizen of the world can embrace. It provides a global opportunity and platform to increase community awareness of mental health issues and the recognition of early signs of a mental health problem so that we can act early. As we all know nobody is immune because mental distress can affect any one of us. In view of that department of Mental Health Nursing of MBNC has organized poster exhibition at Hospital for Mental Health, Vadodara and psychosocial drama?s on impact of Tobacco, Alcohol and psychoactive substances on mental health and stigma related to mental illness in community have been performed by third year BSc Nursing and second year GNM students at different community places at vadodara.

World Heart Day on 29thSeptember is the World Heart Federation's (and the world's) biggest platform for raising awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD). This year world heart day is celebrating with the theme "POWER YOUR LIFE".
This World Heart Day, we want everyone to understand what they can do to fuel their hearts and power their lives. On this special occasion the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing of MBNC, UTU celebrated world heart day on 24th September 2016 by organizing a Guest lecture named "power your life" for students in J.D hall of UTU from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, to bring awareness among the students about importance of world heart day. More than 200 B.Sc, GNM &P.P.B.Sc studentsand Faculty were participated in this event.
The programme was begun with UTU anthem followed by welcome speech by Ms. Swati Gamit, HOD MSN department. A floral welcome was given to guest speaker by Mr.SateeshBiradar, vice- principal, MBNC. Theme of the day was unveiled& its significance was explained by Mr. Vineeth V, Lecturer of MSN department.An informative guest lecture was delivered by Dr. BhavinkanthChaudhary MD, physician, ShreeSardarSmarak Hospital,Bardoli. Followed by guest lecture, as a token of gratitude amemento was presented to guest speaker by Ms. Kavitha Narayanan,Principal, MBNC.The program was addressed &appreciated by PrincipalMadam. REPORT ON CNE
It is our privilege to introduce and organize the first Continue Nurse Education/Staff Development Programme (CNE) by Maniba Bhula Nursing college, Uka Tarsadia University, Bardoli on 17-09-2016 at 2:30 pm to 4:00 p.m. under the guidance of Asso. Prof. Mr. Chanagiri Aurasang, CNE Coordinator. The first CNE Programme was assigned to the Medical Surgical Department of MBNC and session was managed Ms. Swati Gamit and Ms. MamtaChaudhri. The overall programme was arranged by Mr. Vineet V of Medical Surgical Nursing Dept. The whole sessions were held in the Second floor classroom and demonstration session held in the fundamental lab of MBNC.
The aim of the CNE programme was to improve knowledge and skills of nursing staff and heightened the cooperation and uniformity among the staff members of MBNC.
The session started with introductory speech addressed by Mr. Chanagiri,CNE Co-ordinator, MBNC. The Lecture on Effectiveness of hand washing was delivered by Ms. Swati J. Gamit, Assistant Professor, and Medical and Surgical hand washing was demonstrated by Ms. MamtaChaudhari, Nursing Tutor, MSN Dept, MBNC. Lecture include introduction, indications, reasons, types, steps and how to increase awareness regarding hand washing among the staff and students of Nursing and Paramedical disciplines.
The first session was concluded by Mr. Chanagiri, CNE Co-ordinator, MBNC and the session was appreciated by Mrs. Kavitha. N , Principal, MBNC and by CNE Co-ordinator.
World Alliance for Breast Feeding Action (WABA) celebrates World Breast Feeding Week every year in 1st week of August with the theme that responds to the current Millennium Development Goals countdown process by asserting the importance of increasing & sustaining the protection, promotion & support of breast feeding.This is 24th year of celebration

A Quiz &Poster competition was organized for students in shrimad hall at 2:00 to 3:30 pm, to bring awareness among the students about importance,content of breast milk&detail about breast feeding. More than 200 B.Sc, GNM & PPBSc studentsand Faculty were participated in this event. The theme was unveiled& its significance was explained by Mrs. Diva Chanu, H.O.D of Pediatric department. The quiz compition conducted by Ms. Kinjal Mistry, Assistant Professor of OBG department. There were 21 students participated in poster compition from different classes. The prizes were awarded to the champions & runner up team by Ms. Kavitha Narayanan,Principal, MBNC & Mr. Sateesh Biradar, Vice Principal, MBNC.The program was adressed& apriciated by PrincipalMadam.The program was supported by management of UkaTarsadia University and successfully ended with the National Anthem.
